EH/2/1 committee, Stationary Source Emission covers the standardization of tools for the characterization of stationary source emissions. The work includes the development of measurement methods for air pollutants (particles, gases, odours, micro-organisms), and methods for the determination of the efficiency of gas cleaning systems. Responsible for UK national input into ISO/TC 146/SC 1 'Stationary Source emissions' and part of the work on CEN/TC 264 'Air quality'. Excluded: establishment of limit values and radioactive air pollutants. 

There are many working groups with CEN and ISO developing or revising standards which have an impact on our industry. The working groups are made up of experts from around Europe for CEN and other worldwide countries for ISO. The UK has representation on the majority on these working groups.

BSI EH2/1 have set up a series of mirror groups. A mirror group not only looks at the work that the working group has done but also makes sure the representative goes to the various meetings with a view from their country.
This proactive action ensures that UK can influence the development of the standard.
The mirror groups primarily meet by teleconference prior to the next working group meeting, face to face meetings may be held to discuss and comment on the draft standards when ready for comment. The UK lead representative chairs the mirror group.
