HCl Task Group
QAL2/AST issues, HCl, SO2 and measurement-system interferences.
The HCl Task Group was set up for equipment suppliers, process operators, test houses and regulators to discuss QAL2 and AST failures relating especially to HCl and SO2.
The group has discussed and created industry guidance on subjects including:
- Cold spots in CEM and SRM installations
- Heated probes and lines with cold areas due to thermocouple position
- Contamination of lines, particularly from dry-gas validations
- Passivation times for SRM equipment
- Interferences, specifically water and ammonia
- Ambient temperature
- Ammonium chloride formation and filters
- Reliability of SRM methods
- Suitable heated probes, filters and filter materials
- Wet validation systems on site
